ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS
Justin and Cindy Butow have been married for 30 years, and have four children, Deverie Ellen (who went home to be with Jesus at 11 days old, and would be 29 this year), Rachelle, 28, her husband Ezekiel 27, and Mal'aki, 26.
The Butow Family has been ministering to Native American communities since August of 2008.
Justin is an ordained minister, and Co-Founder of Singing Feather Ministries. He carries the Father's heart and is gifted in mentoring and discipleship as well as leading worship. One of his greatest passions is to see the church functioning in true community in a way that is safe and welcoming for all, regardless of their personal struggles. He loves applying his 25+ years of experience in the trades to building, maintenance, and improvement projects within a ministry context. You can email Justin at jbutow@singingfeatherministries.org
Cindy is also an ordained minister and the Founder and President of Singing Feather Ministries. She also travels throughout the United States teaching on the importance of understanding the role of Prophetic Intercession that promotes deep intimacy with God, and miraculous interactions with those who do not yet know Him. Cindy feels a strong conviction to educate the body of Christ regarding the true history of our nation regarding Native Americans, and to stir hearts to partner with God in making the crooked things straight again through prayer, worship, and service. Cindy deeply desires to inspire the body of Christ to pursue an intimately personal relationship with God, full of encounter and revelatory insight into His heart, will, and purposes. You can email Cindy at cbutow@singingfeatherministries.org
Together, Justin and Cindy graduated from their Discipleship Training School at the University of the Nations, in Kona, Hawaii in 2016, and were on staff at YWAM Mendocino for 6 years. They are also alumni from Genesis Discipleship Training Center where they attended in 1994, the year the school closed its doors after 20 years of transforming lives. They were both an integral part in the establishing and maintaining of East Bay Prayer Furnace in Dublin, California from 2000-2015. Singing Feather Ministries was birthed out of this prayer room after Cindy experienced a series of powerful encounters with God in 2008.
Rachelle graduated from Fire and Fragrance Discipleship Training School with YWAM Ireland, in Rostrevor,
Northern Ireland, in 2013. She returned to Ireland to staff at the Rostrevor YWAM Base for 2 years before rejoining her family at YWAM Mendocino where she was on staff for 4 years. Rachelle carries a God given burden for Australian Aboriginals, the New Zealand Maori, and Polynesians as well as Natives in North America. Rachelle is a gifted worship intercessor and feels the call of God on her life to be a life long missionary evangelist. She recently married the love of her life, Ezekiel Hall. Ezekiel has the heart of a worshipper and intercessor also. He is musically gifted and has a personal value for the House of Prayer. He also has a heart for Japan, where he attended his Discipleship Training School (Tokyo) in 2017. He hopes to go there as often as the Lord will allow, to minister and encourage. Rachelle and Ezekiel have both graduated from the School of Supernatural Missions and the Spirit and Truth Bible Seminar at YWAM Mendocino.
Mal'aki is happily living an independent life in Sacramento, California. He graduated from his Discipleship Training School at YWAM Colorado Springs, and from the School of Supernatural Missions at YWAM Mendocino. He feels passionate about awareness for mental health issues and equality for all. If you are ever looking for Mal'aki, you will likely find him behind an expresso machine or the lens of a vintage film camera.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matt. 6:33
